A Little about Project Yaqeen
Project Yaqeen operates globally, however our current focus is in the rural districts of Jalalabad and Mazar-e-Sharif in Afghanistan, offering humanitarian assistance with a specific focus on reaching widows, orphans, and the disabled who lack a support system or the means for earning a livelihood.
Our program, directed at eradicating hunger and malnourishment, involves food distributions inside a school safe zone to documented community members with a verified need. Food packages consist of nutritious items such as mineral-fortified grains, beans, cooking oil, sugar, and tea. In confirmed cases of premature/malnourished infants or mothers with lactation insufficiency/failure, powdered infant formula is supplied.
In Jalalabad, food is distributed at Ettefaq Private School. In Mazar e Sharif, food is distributed in Bahar e Andash Private School.
All activities, volunteers, distribution sites, and persons served are rostered. We have also operated in other regions such as Paktia, Herat, and Kabul. Our goals are to expand to as many regions as possible.
We pride ourselves in our transparency and efforts to ensure every penny is accounted for and put to use exactly as we say. Our official status as a 501(c)3 organization has enabled us even further to maintain our strict requirements when it comes to handling donations and their distribution.
